Irish sweater mug

I am allergic to wool so this mug is the closest I can get to the beloved, iconic Irish wool sweaters. I bought this same mug last time I was in Ireland and love it but was always afraid something might happen to it, so I needed a spare just in case! It was shipped quickly and carefully and with a bonus bag of tea and instructions for use. Would gladly purchase from this company again!

Gift they like!

My wife bought this Mug while we were on vacation in Ireland this summer. When we returned home both of my older children decided that they loved the Mug and wish that they had one. They liked the looks and how it felt in their hands. Glad to be able to buy some more and have them shipped home (well packaged) at a great price. Thanks.

FAQ

What is tartan?

Tartan is a plaid fabric consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colors. Tartan originated in Scotland and was traditionally associated with specific Scottish clans. Each clan had its own tartan pattern, which was used to identify clan members and distinguish them from members of other clans. Today, tartan is still worn by many people in Scotland and is also popular in other countries.

Can tartan be Irish?

Yes, tartan can indeed be associated with Ireland. While tartan patterns are often associated with Scotland, Ireland also has a rich tradition of using tartan in clothing and textiles, particularly in the context of Irish kilts and various regional tartans. It's a testament to the shared Celtic heritage of both countries.

What does the tartan blanket symbolize?

Tartan blankets symbolize various aspects of Scottish and Irish heritage, including clan identity, regional pride, and a connection to Celtic traditions. The unique patterns and colors often represent specific clans, areas, or historical events, fostering a sense of belonging and tradition among those who use or wear them.
